Attention! After cleaning the fretboard, the instrument smells very bad like fish oil and the smell doesn't go away no matter what. There are several negative reports about this issue. I made the mistake of trying it directly on an expensive instrument. I suggest trying it on something cheap first and in a small area. This is the first time something like this has happened to me, having tried various other fretboard conditioners over the years I've been playing. The manufacturer claims a lifespan of 3 years, but if not stored properly, it can deteriorate faster and result in a bad smell. Mine was produced in July 2020 and still had a smell. I do not recommend it.

Each bottle has a date marked on when we filled it. If stored at room temperature, the shelf life should be 3 years, but it can definitely last longer. Always shake the bottle well before using. If it ever smells bad, it may have gone bad. This is a natural product, so if not stored at room temperature or if bacteria gets in it, it can go rancid.
