    for small photinias that I used around 90, they are just fine. they bend if pressured but straighten again once or twice. after that they break but you can reinsert the remaining part.

    Basically, it is a metal rod (not solid) externally coated with green plastic. However, because it does not have a good fit, it started rusting without even being placed outdoors! If you nail them in soil, it's okay, no problem. But if it is for placing on a balcony to support a plant, it is not suitable because it will drip rust underneath.
