The Optex BXS-R-W wireless infrared motion sensor detects movement in a curtain pattern, with a range of 12 m to the left and 12 m to the right. Both beams on each side must detect movement to activate the output. The detection distance, sensitivity and alarm output can be adjusted independently for each side.

The sensor is wall-mounted at a height of 0.8–1.2 m and features an automatic temperature compensation circuit and rear tamper protection (Back Tamper). An LED indicates an alarm.
