The aluminum alloy makes it a bit lighter than similarly sized cheaper umbrellas. Also, for its size, it has a very large diameter, competing with umbrellas that have a fixed and not a collapsible pole.

Also, at the points where the telescopic pole connects, it started to feel loose and wobble like it's slightly falling apart. The fabric is not taut over the frame and is permanently wrinkled/crumpled.
After infrequent use over one winter, I would say that its quality does not match its price, despite the aforementioned advantages.
