The blanket is not fleece as I read in another review. It is cotton and perforated so that the baby can breathe even if it goes to its face (which should be avoided). Generally, this type of blanket with the little holes is highly recommended abroad. Soft, cotton, and beautiful, I will definitely get it in other colors and sizes.
