The AED Plus® and AED Pro® defibrillators recognize the connection of pediatric electrodes, utilize different algorithms designed for analyzing the heart rhythm of a child's heart, and adjust energy levels to be appropriate for defibrillating patients aged 0 to 8 years.

The pediatric defibrillation electrodes Pedi-padz® II from ZOLL feature diagrammatic coding (square - round) to ensure correct placement. Additionally, they have visual anatomical placement indicators to guide the rescuer for proper application.

The ZOLL Pedi-padz® II adhesive defibrillation electrodes feature improved defibrillation gel for excellent adhesion to the patient's body, while energy is uniformly delivered from the center of the electrode to the edges, reducing the chances of burns or skin irritation.
