This collective work constitutes a complete edition of issues related to positive law in the broad field of international transactions, which has seen exponential growth in recent years.

This publication was deemed necessary because international transactions represent a relatively new field with vast subject matter, dictated by contemporary developments in communication, technology, and by human nature, which strives for the widest possible social participation.

The work, apart from the introductory part, which examines the concept, subject matter, and sources of international transaction law, is subdivided into four further parts.

The first part includes the subjects of international transactions, namely private legal entities on the one hand and the State on the other.

The second part refers to the subject matter of international transactions, where the main contracts are examined, along with international protection of intellectual property, financial transactions, international transport and insurance, and community competition law.

The third part is dedicated to international dispute resolution, presenting international arbitration and judicial resolution of international disputes, while the fourth part deals with international tax law.

It serves as a useful tool for practitioners and is aimed at judges, lawyers, and other officials of Themis.
