The Arturia PolyBrute is a 6-voice polyphonic analog synthesizer designed for advanced sound design, music production, and live performance. It features a 61-key weighted keyboard with velocity sensitivity and aftertouch, offering immediate expressive response. Each voice is equipped with two analog oscillators (VCOs), a dual-filter system (Steiner-Parker 12 dB/oct and Ladder 24 dB/oct), three envelope generators (LFOs), and three ADSR generators. It incorporates the versatile 12×16 Matrix for signal routing, preset recall, and sequencer control, as well as the unique three-dimensional Morphée control surface for simultaneously shaping multiple sound parameters.

Analog Oscillators & Dual Filter System

The Arturia PolyBrute features 6 true analog voices, each with two independent VCOs. The first oscillator includes Saw, Triangle and Square waveform modulators, with Metalizer and Pulse Width Modulation functions, while the second oscillator offers a choice of waveforms, a sub-oscillator and Hard Sync. The filter section combines two distinct architectures: a 12 dB/octave Steiner-Parker multimode filter and a classic 24 dB/octave Transistor Ladder filter with continuously variable Drive. They can be connected in series or in parallel.

Matrix 12x16 & Morphing Mode Formatting

The instrument's control core is based on the 12 x 8 button Matrix on the front panel, which functions as a configuration routing table (Modulation Matrix) with access to 12 sources and 32 destinations, offering up to 64 simultaneous connections. The system also supports Morphing, allowing all synthesizer parameters to transition smoothly and continuously between two different states (State A and State B) within the same preset.

3D Morphée Control, Ribbon & Expressive Controls

To achieve a high level of expressiveness, the PolyBrute features the patented 3D Morphée pad on the left side of the keyboard, which simultaneously detects horizontal movement (X-axis), vertical movement (Y-axis), and pressure (Z-axis). In addition, a wooden Ribbon Controller is built in above the keyboard, complementing the traditional Pitch Bend and Modulation wheels.

Sequencer, 24-Bit Digital Effects & Connectivity

The synthesizer features a built-in 64-step polyphonic sequencer with Motion Recording, as well as an advanced Arpeggiator and Matrix Arpeggiator. The output section includes a 24-bit digital stereo effects architecture with Reverb, Delay, and Modulation algorithms. Connectivity includes stereo 1/4" Main Out signal outputs, full three-way MIDI (In/Out/Thru), connections for 3 pedals (Sustain and 2x Expression), and a USB port for use with the included PolyBrute Connect management software.
