Description

In 1980, Michalis H. Fotopoulos, along with his wife Maria Fotopoulou, started beekeeping with five hives in their garden in Aklithochori, Messinia. Initially, they produced honey to meet their family's needs and to share with relatives and friends. Over the years, they decided to become professional honey producers to share the wonderful taste and nutritional value of honey.

Thus, in 1983, the five hives grew to 200, which were relocated to the region of Messinian Mani and the Taygetos Mountains. In 1994, their son Charalampos Fotopoulos took over the business, having acquired the necessary knowledge from beekeeping training seminars. His knowledge, combined with the art of his parents, is the secret to their success.
