Excellent general-purpose lens due to its range and weight. I consider it to be the best kit lens choice compared to any other. As an EF-S lens, it only fits Canon crop bodies. A great performer due to its STM motor, it is an excellent solution for video. Adequately bright, although it may struggle with autofocus in less well-lit environments.
