Description

The year is 50 B.C. Gaul is entirely occupied by the Romans. Well, not entirely... One small village of indomitable Gauls still holds out against the invaders. And life is not easy for the Roman legionaries who garrison the fortified camps of Totorum, Aquarium, Laudanum, and Compendium.

Peace reigns in the small village, where the villagers go about their daily work. Our two heroes, Asterix and Obelix, hunt wild boar, watch the blacksmith's quarrel with the fisherman, and the village chief parades around the village square on his shield.

After a good day's hunt, Asterix and Obelix return to find their village in flames, plundered by the Romans! They set out to rescue their fellow villagers, accompanied by their faithful Dogmatix. Their journey will take them to Normandy, Greece, Switzerland, Egypt, and finally, Rome, to save the villagers from the clutches of Emperor Caesar...

Honestly, I've been looking for this game for years for a more modern console! The memories that resurfaced cannot be described. For new players, get it if you like such games. For players from 2000, buy it yesterday! I can't be objective in my evaluation because it was one of the first games I played on the PS2 and I remember it fondly and nostalgically.

Compared to remasters of other titles such as Spyro, Crash Bandicoot, this has been a sloppy job and it's not worth its price of 10 euros at most. They have only improved colors and shadows, and the nostalgia mode is better than the 'remastered' version, which has graphics from 2010. Otherwise, you can still enjoy playing it and it is a faithful replica of the old one.

I really liked the remastered version. It had everything: music, image, graphics, and controls. The price was a bit high, but okay, we can't have it all!

Nostalgia in red. A quite powerful ps2 game remastered for ps4. Classic beat em up and very entertaining. Indeed the price is a bit high but it's worth it. My respects dear readers.

The game is incredible, full of nostalgia. The price is a bit steep, a $20 price tag would have been understandable though. The music, the gameplay, everything is wonderfully nostalgic. Personally, I won't even touch the remastered version, only the retro mode with the old graphics.

It is a game that truly is nostalgic and the company itself managed to make it equally entertaining as the PS2 version!
