I bought the cleanser because of the active ingredient it has, since I still have acne bumps and I don’t want to keep going to a dermatologist all the time to have them removed (not that the product would replace a dermatologist, of course). I can’t say, it’s a good cleanser overall, but it didn’t impress me.

    In detail:
    The pros:
    - Cleans the face deeply without causing me any irritation.
    - Fragrance-free, vegan, and cruelty-free
    - It’s good value for money

    The meh:
    - I don’t feel that it does such a good job when it comes to acne marks. I do see that over time they calm down, but I expected more.
    - It will take some work to use the product. It’s a gel-to-foam formula but it’s thick, so it needs quite a bit of water on the face and hands and good working in order to dissolve effectively on the skin. For me, this is not so much a negative in terms of effectiveness as it is in the product’s UX.

    The concerning:
    - This is a more general concern of mine and doesn’t concern the product exclusively. I don’t know how safe it is to combine a cleanser that contains an exfoliating ingredient with other products that do similar work (e.g. glycolic acid for exfoliation and retinol/retinal/bakuchiol for skin renewal). I consider that a risk. The packaging does state, however, that it can be used twice a day and in combination with salicylic acid products.

Overall, it’s a good cleanser, I just think that for cleansing or reducing marks there are other good similar options that do the same job. With less water, of course.
