The "Envelope Stand" (as described) is made of thick, heavy, and durable plastic that resembles hard plexiglass. It is extremely stable on its base and inspires confidence in its stability. It is rare to find such a heavy and high-quality construction for supporting paper and envelopes. To tell the truth, I bought it for a different, more serious use: I supported three external hard drives (thick, 5TB each) ready to connect to my computer with excellent and even spectacular results. So, if you want to find other uses for this wonderful construction, believe me, you will find many. Excellent 10!
