Does your baby fall asleep immediately after feeding? Or calm down when you offer a pacifier? This happens because sucking activates the release of a hormone called CCK (cholecystokinin). It gives your baby a feeling of fullness, relaxation, and drowsiness!

Before first use and then at regular intervals, place the pacifier in boiling water for 5 minutes or sterilize it. A small amount of water may enter the nipple – remove it by gently squeezing the nipple. In between, frequently rinse the pacifier with running water.
