The CHERPLUS Automatic Filling Valve should be installed on the water inlet pipe to the boiler according to the direction of the arrow on its body. The pressure gauge can be placed directly on the valve or at another location, provided it is immediately visible to the operator during the adjustment phase. It is recommended to use a pressure reducer before the adjustment valve inlet to avoid sudden pressure changes or overpressure, which can cause leaks or diaphragm rupture. The CHERPLUS Automatic Filling Valve can be installed horizontally (with the adjustment knob facing upwards) or vertically.
The CHERPLUS Automatic Filling consists of a pressure reducer, an inlet filter, a rotary shut-off valve, and a check valve. It should be installed on the water inlet pipe in the closed circuit heating system, so that the pressure in it remains stable at the set value, providing automatic filling when required with the remaining water.
The stainless steel filter and check valve are integrated into the body. The CHERPLUS Automatic Filling is available with a manometer.
Installation
Settings
The CHERPLUS Automatic Filling has been factory tested and set at 1.5 bar. The user can change the set pressure at the valve outlet according to the installation requirements. By turning the adjustment valve at the top, right, or left, you can adjust the circuit pressure. The indicated value (1-4.5 bar) is indicative. The actual circuit pressure is only shown on the gauge display. The system should be filled slowly so that the remaining air in the circuit can be removed without creating overpressure. When the system is ready, the rotary shut-off valve can be closed. If you need to add water to the installation, reopen the valve until the desired pressure value in the installation is reached.
Operation
When the system is empty and the air vent valves are open, water from the water supply network flows through the filter. The reducer cap is open and thus the water passes through the check valve and fills the installation. During filling, the system pressure begins to increase and the reducer cap progressively closes. It will close completely when the installation pressure reaches the desired value set by the user. In case the pressure decreases, the check valve closes, preventing the system water from returning to the water supply network.
Maintenance
After a few work cycles, if the CHERPLUS Automatic Filling does not fill the installation at the required speed, check the filter and clean it if necessary. To access it, unscrew the screw at the bottom. Do not use tools (e.g., brushes or needles) or chemicals that may damage the seals for cleaning. After cleaning, reattach the screw. The pressure setting remains unchanged.
