French music educator, composer, and publisher of music books. Born in Paris in 1786 and died in Ebenda in 1854. In 1816, he took over his father Antoine-Marcel Lemoine's music publishing house, which his father had founded in 1722 and still exists today under the name Editions Henry Lemoine. In 1850, Lemoine became blind and handed over the management of his publishing house to his son Achille Lemoine.
Lemoine composed a number of music education works, including the Piano Method and the 50 Easy Exercises op. 37, an extensive collection of famous Bacateles for piano, and the Recreations musikales.
The "50 Easy Exercises op. 37" is a very interesting combination of exercises and tasks for piano students that covers the entire range of technical exercises.
