What happens with vaginal orgasms and the G-spot? Can bread, beer, or wine cause yeast infections? How should I wash my underwear? How does an HPV infection lead to cancer? How does menopause affect the vagina? When are vaginal discharges concerning? The vulva is the ultimate "multi-tool." It is the most important organ for sexual pleasure, protects the tissues at the entrance of the vagina, is designed to handle irritation from urine and feces, to bring a child into the world, and to recover after childbirth as if nothing happened. And to do it again. Oh, yes. It is also capable of multiple orgasms. The penis and scrotum have nothing more than the vulva. Where does the problem lie? The vulva is often neglected. To a large extent, this is because patriarchal society does not concern itself with women's sexual satisfaction and, in fact, fears it. When we exclude the vulva from discussions about the female body and sexuality, we erase the organ responsible for her orgasm. We also hinder her communication with her doctor or other professionals who provide her with health services.
