File server TL-R400S from Qnap. The JBOD enclosure based on the TL-R400S allows for backup and expansion of QNAP NAS, Windows®, and Ubuntu® computers and servers. The TL-R400S has four 3.5-inch SATA 6 Gb/s bays, and its shallow design is ideal for installation in compact racks or in spaces with cable clutter. It comes equipped with a QXP PCIe card for connecting to the enclosure using an SFF-8088 (or SFF-8644) cable, providing reliable read/write performance.
The hard drive bays with locking function prevent accidental removal of the drives. The SFF-8088 (or SFF-8644) cable supports four SATA 6 Gb/s channels per cable (totaling 24 Gb/s), ensuring high data transfer speeds. The QNAP NAS and computer can monitor and manage JBOD information using exclusive software.
The TL SATA JBOD supports multi-channel SATA 6 Gb/s transfer, and each SATA channel connects directly to one SATA unit, enhancing performance. Storage configurations are managed through software for greater flexibility. RAID configuration and disk health monitoring are possible via the QNAP JBOD Manager for Windows® and Ubuntu® computers.
