The internet keeps dropping constantly for hours. We have called literally 30 times and they still haven't fixed it for us. Unacceptable service and unacceptable router. I do not recommend it to anyone. Also, forthnet itself recommended it to us.

So I've had it for about 2 years. They have replaced it 5 times. Guys, the box is garbage, it's not worth its money. It disconnects every 3-4 minutes, and every time they replace it without fixing the problem. The last time I sent it back, I told them that I don't accept them sending me a new one that will have the same problem again, and the representative's response was, "What can I do?" Terrible customer service, they can't understand what the problem is in the end. Anyway, I managed with the classic Vodafone, which doesn't disconnect, it's just not very fast. In conclusion, don't buy it because it will drive you crazy and it won't work. The one star is too much, I regret it so much, you can't imagine!! I hope I helped.

I bought it in June 2017 and so far it is excellent. Compared to the Thompson from Forthnet that would drop whenever it felt like it, this one is simply perfect. No disconnections, consistently stable connection (I am in the outskirts of Thessaloniki with a 24Mbps line). Better features on the line and consistently 19Mbps/768kbps connection from the provider. The black color and antennas give a nice feeling on my desk.

Those of you who have Wind as a provider, in order to avoid disconnections (which are due to Wind and not the router), you need to manually change the DNS Servers, either in the router's interface or in the Windows settings. For the rest of the settings to work properly with Wind, please refer to my previous post below. I have tested it with other providers and it works flawlessly, it just requires configuration with Wind.

Here and for six months in my possession, in the beginning (first 3-4 months) it worked flawlessly but in the last two months, while it shows that it has Wi-Fi, it is impossible to connect even with the interface of the router itself. While the wired connection is normal, in random cases the wireless connection fluctuates in signal strength and loses internet. There is a signal indication, for example, 4 out of 5, but it is as if it is a fictional indication. After re-flashing the firmware (there is no update yet for HW E1, only EU 1.00 is available from the company), there seems to be an improvement, but if I didn't have this knowledge and willingness to deal with it, it would have gone for a warranty replacement (which I will do if the problem continues, of course).
It's a shame because initially I believed that I made a purchase that would solve my problems with the wireless network and not that I would have the same issues as with the cheap routers provided by the ISPs.

    Excellent product!
In the wind line, it plays flawlessly and steadily (without disconnections).
Better than more expensive models I have tried in stability and synchronization speed.
    UPDATE:
It only worked for 20 months. Then it broke (couldn't load any page). What a shame.
(Taking away 3 stars for low durability over time....)
P.S. D-LINK's service is UNACCEPTABLE!!! I have sent it for repair/replacement three weeks ago and still no response

With Forthnet, I have many disconnections and it is not as stable as I expected! Also, of course, the machine heats up like all machines of this type, I just mention it because I saw a silly comment from someone else about it!

With Wind line, I have many disconnection problems. I need to restart the modem several times a day. The Sagem from OTE, which I still have (for 5 years now), has never exhibited such behavior. I'm trying to find a guide somewhere, hoping to improve the situation. It's a pity...

In Wind line serious connection freezing problems that can only be fixed with a reboot. I tried upgrading the firmware (1.04) without any difference. An old ZTE from OTE that I considered rotten, on the same line has no problems at all.

The best budget router I have tried. Fast and without disconnections.
I consistently download at 1550-1600Kb/s without any disconnections with WIND provider.
Note that there is a problem with WIND provider and it does not connect. So, to avoid bothering with Wind's technical support and D-Link's (which will refer you to 'Anna in Kaiafas' and possibly never solve the issue, as it happened to me), in order to connect to a WIND line with this router (which is indeed a star, it doesn't freeze or overheat at all) you need to do the following:

    1. Run the setup from the CD.
    2. Select Country: Other
    3. Select ISP: Other
    4. VPI: 8 and VCI: 35
    5. Connection Type: PPPoA VC-Mux

You can change the MTU if you want, from the default 1492 to 1480 (it synchronizes better and is more stable).
It would also be good to upgrade its software to version 1.04

An excellent product for its price, it has been in operation for 15 days since the date of purchase. Someone would say that its real value for its capabilities should be much higher! The interface setup is really good, without any problems, it already has the default settings for Greek ISPs such as Cyta, OTE, Forthnet, etc. USB for tethering to the neighbor, no movie through the network is too far away from the Telephone-CAFAO, maximum speed SNR margin dB sensitivity, I don't know what else I could write! The Wi-Fi coverage is truly incredible, plus it supports all types of Wi-Fi, including N, etc. The only thing I didn't like is that it synchronizes slightly lower than the mama technicolor of Forthnet, about half a Mbps lower, but other than that, it's amazing!
Finally, the most important thing is that because I always heard about disconnections, this does not exist. Usually, a disconnection may be due to something else, and D-Link once again shows its strength!
