This book is a synthesis of three texts. It presents a broad range of theoretical reflections on social organization and its transformations. It systematically analyzes the data of employment over a period that exceeds thirty years.

The previous project facilitates specific assessments of the relationships between social groups. It examines the conditions under which the state entered the intense and prolonged fiscal crisis or the unlikely economic distress, as well as the quality of its response.

In particular, regarding interventions for solving Greek problems, both the readiness of the "experts," from the involved national and international institutions, to manage similar issues, and the thoroughness of their choices, are questioned.

In this sense, the consequences of the imposed social restructuring and the ineffectiveness of the fundamentally exogenous project are taken into account. From the assessment of this very difficult decade and the economic or political retreat of our society, there is also a positive outcome: the resilience of labor autonomy (especially that combined with the survival of small property) maintained some of the advantages that contributed to the inclusion of the country among the most prosperous globally.
