The Eiger Crystal Max replacement water filter uses a 4-stage filtration system with a sediment filter, activated carbon, a UF ultrafiltration membrane and KDF media. The membrane has a filtration accuracy of 0.01 μm, while the system reduces chlorine, sediment, particles and heavy metals. It is designed for under-sink use, including to supply water to coffee machines, faucets and water coolers.

Ultrafiltration preserves the beneficial minerals in the water and does not require electricity or discharge water into the drain. The filter connects via Quick Connect to the compatible Crystal Max head, which is not included.
