During the summer, I wanted to record the Olympic Games events on the internal HDD of a DVD Recorder, using my PC. Since the device only has a SCART IN port, I used an HDMI to SCART converter. So far, so good (with the signal quality, of course, being 480p since it was SCART). To avoid wearing out the HDMI cable connector by constantly plugging and unplugging it from the TV and the converter, I purchased an HDMI Splitter, specifically the HDMI Splitter 1x2 880509. And yes, the job was done, but there was a problem: every approximately 10 seconds, the signal would "disappear" on both outputs for about 1 second. So, I requested to return it and have another one sent to me, even if it was slightly more expensive. Indeed, within 2 days, they sent me the 220030 3D FHD HDMI Splitter 1 input/2 outputs. Unfortunately, the second splitter also had the same problem on one output, while the second output didn't show any signal at all. Therefore, I don't use it, and in the end, I found a solution with an HD VIDEO CAPTURE BOX (which records directly to USB or external HDD).
