The FDH-205L dehumidifier by Finlux has the ability to absorb 20 liters of water within 24 hours. It is suitable for spaces up to 80m², in order to maintain the humidity of the space at normal levels. This means that it creates conditions for the air to be more "comfortable", while removing natural and visible signs of humidity, such as mold on walls or condensation of water droplets on windows. It also helps prevent diseases caused by high humidity, such as allergies and asthma.
Using the dehumidifier in a space during the winter months increases the room temperature up to 3°C, resulting in reduced heating expenses, thus offering money savings.
The ideal average relative humidity of a space ranges between 50% - 55%. At this level, most of us feel comfortable, and it is also the ideal environment to avoid allergies, frequent colds, and bone pains. At the same time, a humidity of this order helps protect and maintain materials inside the house, such as plasterboards, walls, and wooden floors-furniture, while protecting clothes in closets and other objects or materials that are susceptible to the harmful effects of excessive humidity.
It has a large removable water tank with a capacity of 5 liters, which does not need frequent emptying due to its large size. Occasionally, you can clean it with soap and water to avoid mold formation. Also, the water collected in the dehumidifier's tank is deionized and can be used for purposes where we do not want water with salts, such as car windscreen washers. However, it is not of high purity to come into contact with clean clothes, so it is not recommended for use in the steam iron.
The dehumidifier's dehumidification technology, i.e., the way in which the dehumidifier absorbs moisture from a space, is based on a compressor that condenses moisture from the air and directs it in the form of water into the tank. Compressor dehumidifiers are more effective in absorbing moisture for spaces that are heated compared to zeolite dehumidifiers. Therefore, it is recommended for spaces where the temperature does not fall below 13-14°C.
