From the years of Frederick the Great to those of Chancellor Merkel, most of the most dangerous chapters of European and global history are always written in Berlin. At their root are the continuous attempts of German domination in Europe.

That is why it is impossible for someone to understand today's crisis without first realizing the enduring national goals of Greater Germany, which, after its reunification, far exceed the European orientation of the country. Goals that date back three hundred years, from Frederick, the 'man of the year' in Germany in 2012, the founder of Prussian hegemony in the German nation and of Germans in Europe, reaching their peak in 1871, when Bismarck extended German sovereignty over Europe, creating the Reich.

In the 20th century, two world wars followed within three decades. German dominance failed to be imposed through arms. However, currency is another means of imposing German hegemony. German attempts at monetary unification centered around the mark occurred both in the 1940s and in the 1970s, culminating in success only immediately after 1990: the reunification of Germany and the creation of the euro were two simultaneous historical processes with a unified content.

Today, we are experiencing another endeavor to achieve German hegemony in Europe, which Berlin, under Chancellor Merkel, attempts through the debt crisis, abolishing the equality of European states and the functioning of democracy, dismantling entire countries, with Greece being the first. However, this endeavor is also doomed to fail...
