I learned about this brand from someone who was wearing it and I asked which one it was. Unfortunately, the only response I got was Burberry, without specifying which one.
So, I bought this one since it was on sale and had good reviews.
It's not what I smelled. This particular one, I wonder how it received awards as another comment mentions. It reminds me a lot of a women's perfume that my mother used to wear 30+ years ago.
It doesn't at all feel like a men's fragrance to me. Out of all its ingredients, I don't smell anything woody, its main tone is a scent between floral and powder, which I suspect is patchouli. At best, maybe a little bit of cardamom and nutmeg in there. The dominant notes are powder/patchouli. After about two hours, the other base ingredients start faintly coming through, drowned in this powdery scent, and after another half an hour, it has almost completely disappeared from the skin, leaving no trace of the fragrance.
I will probably give it to my mother to remind her of her youth. In my opinion, it is definitely not a men's fragrance, at best unisex. I find it highly unlikely to receive a positive comment from a woman with such a scent.
Luckily, I bought the 30ml bottle on sale, otherwise, I would be crying over the money.
Perhaps it's because it's the 2020 edition (when they were making it, they probably had COVID-19, so reduced sense of smell...) and the older version might have a completely different scent... but I won't bother to find out.
