Fast, accurate, and absolutely reliable, the Canon Speedlite EL-1 flash provides the performance that professional photographers demand when the stakes are high. Advanced technologies allow you to be more creative than ever when using flash. It is ideal for those unrepeatable moments when you can't ask your subject to "do it again," thanks to its supreme performance and advanced wireless communication combined with a high-performance rechargeable battery.

The Speedlight's guide number is 60m and it is supported by the same degree of dust and water resistance as the L-series lenses. An active cooling system prevents overheating, allowing you to shoot for longer periods. It is also powered by a high-performance LP-EL battery which ensures extremely high speeds and reliability from one shot to the next. You can expect up to 2,345 flash activations on a single charge. The precision battery level indicator informs you when it needs recharging or replacing the power source you are using. Finally, the extremely short recycling times of 0.1-0.9sec ensure bursts of up to 170 flashes at full power, and there is also the capability for high-speed flash bursts at lower power levels.
