The Macallan Double Cask 18 years old, is an absolutely balanced whisky that has matured for 18 years, both in American and European oak barrels.
The American oak from Sherry olorosso adds hints of vanilla to the delicate spicy style of European oak, offering a whisky with a sweeter and warmer taste.
The Double Cask whiskies have been aged in two types of oak, in specially selected handcrafted barrels. Once matured, the two exceptional whiskies are combined to create a distinctive result with a sweeter, warmer taste and a spicy sensation.
