In Cubist, players are architects competing to build a magnificent and inspiring Museum of Modern Art, along with its interior sculptures or "installations." The building materials are cubes, or more specifically... dice!
Each round, players roll two dice and place them in their workshop as raw materials for their cubist sculptures. From there, they place the dice to complete installation orders for the museum.
Dice with the same numbers can be stacked on top of each other to add height and grandeur to the sculpture. Dice with adjacent numbers are placed side by side to create unusual traces of modernism.
Players can take risks by committing to daring orders, hoping that someone else won't complete them first, or play it safe by locking dice for future use.
They can also use their dice to seek the help of modern art masters like Juan Gris, Franz Marc, and Olga Rozanova.
Each completed installation allows the contribution of dice to the building of the Museum.
