I bought the 310 because the 110 was good, but I wasn't satisfied with the battery intensity and power, so I went for the 310. It's like day and night in terms of portability as this one has wheels, and in terms of intensity and battery, everything is vastly better. I mainly take it to beaches and outings, and what I have to say is that it literally gets everyone hyped up. It can be heard over 300+ meters away, and I can't imagine what it would do if I plugged it into the power.... Now, in terms of bass and sound, everything is amazing!! The speaker doesn't distort at all, even at 100%. Yes, when plugged into power, it reaches 100% of the intensity and bass. Now, regarding its battery. For a user who isn't outside for many hours with everything turned up, it will be just fine, but for others who want it at full blast for hours, unfortunately, it won't last. I upgraded its battery by adding more cells (batteries) of the same type to make it last longer. I've had it for almost 2 years, and I don't regret at all the money I spent to buy it. It's the best!

JBL partybox 310, a speaker that no matter how many reviews I read, how many videos I watched on YouTube and beyond, nothing prepared me for what I saw and heard for the first time.

Let's take it one by one.

Design: Beautiful from every aspect, amazing LED rings around the woofers that synchronize with the music and that you can control and change in 4 different modes through the button on the speaker or via the app. The build quality is one of the best I have seen in a speaker, flawless, very high quality and worthy of the brand. Yes, the speaker is heavy (about 17.5 kilograms), but it has a handle and wheels that make it very easy to move around.

Now let's talk about the sound that most people are interested in.

I own a soundbar, the Creative Sound Blaster Katana (an award-winning soundbar for its crystal-clear sound) 75W, a karaoke speaker from Crystal Audio 80W, and a soundbar from the same brand 240W. I thought I knew what bass meant until I heard the partybox 310. I was laughing like a little child when at 50% volume, the whole house was shaking and I could feel the bass in my chest. After a while, I realized that I even had the bass boost turned off! It has 3 levels of bass: off, bass boost 1, and bass boost 2. With the first level of bass, even the dishes tremble, and I didn't dare to go above 50% to avoid issues with the neighbors. Bass boost 1 has a deeper bass than bass boost 2. The sound is crystal clear, even at maximum volume, it doesn't distort at all!

It has been used at various parties at home and in the yard with 20 people, and I didn't even need to turn it up all the way. In terms of battery life, the manufacturer claims 18 hours, but at 50% volume with the lights off and the bass boost off, which is more than enough for this particular speaker at 50%! When used with its battery, it enters battery mode and instead of 240 watts, it delivers 160 watts, resulting in slightly reduced volume and bass, but it is still quite powerful!

As for its function as a karaoke, it comes with a high-quality microphone, sensitive enough to pick up even whispers. It also has an equalizer that allows you to add echo, treble, and bass to the voice. Unfortunately, the JBL app does not have an equalizer for the music, but you can control the lights, volume, bass, karaoke, and various DJ modes it offers (horn, applause, boo, etc.).

In conclusion, if someone is looking for an earthquake machine with excellent sound and volume that will meet all their needs, then the partybox 310 is the right choice. The only thing left now is to get another one for stereo mode, so that even the neighbor's dishes will tremble! :P

P.S.: A new update has been released and now the speaker has an equalizer! Now anyone can adjust the sound output as they wish! Personally, I increased the bass and the speaker simply shakes the whole house! But even those who find the bass excessive, even with the bass boost off, can now lower it with the new update and make it sound almost flat.

As the owner for the past 2 months, I will try to be as brief and concise as possible for someone who is considering purchasing it, just like I was searching for it for 6 months before buying it (not to mention a year, but that's how long it took).
1) Yes, the speaker is a bit expensive. I would price it at 400 euros instead of the 540 I paid for it. HOWEVER, when I use it, I forget how much it cost. It's worth it.
The construction is amazing and sturdy.
2) The bass is crystal clear. Anyone who compares it to other speakers in its category and says that the bass is better and deeper doesn't know what they're talking about.
3) For home use, it's more than enough at 30% volume without the Bass boost active. At 80%, everything starts to crackle.
4) For outdoor use and without being plugged in (it has extra volume), it's perfect for a party of up to 40 people for fun.
5) The sound features with the buttons (horn, clapping, etc.) are fantastic for extra fun and the 6 different light settings and 9 colors really enhance the atmosphere.
6) The battery does NOT last up to 18 hours. It's only when playing at 40% volume. At full volume outside and with the Bass boost on, it lasts for a full 7 hours (without the lights, with the lights it's 6 hours).
7) Yes, it's big... it's 15 kilos and something, it's like carrying an airport suitcase. It's like a 10-kilo one with a bit more thickness. With the handle and wheels, it's very cool. Nevertheless, it's definitely not the easiest speaker to transport.
8) As a big fan of techno and hard rock music, I unequivocally declare that the quality is extreme for THIS SPECIFIC speaker and its price. The sound is crystal clear, especially when playing from Spotify.
9) Other speakers may be louder, I have compared it. Obviously, the volume is not insignificant, we're talking about a speaker with 2 6.5-inch woofers. Nevertheless, none of them are better in terms of construction, bass, battery, what it offers, transportation, and pure sound.
10) Not to mention the parties you can have when you have a microphone...

In conclusion, if you find it at a price of 480 or 450 euros and below, get it with your eyes closed. It's for those who want a speaker to party everywhere outside and have fun. That's why it's called that. Don't get it to have it permanently connected to your TV or in your room. You'll kill it that way. Oh, and if something spills on it, don't worry... it's splashproof (but don't overdo it, it's not waterproof). So, because I'm tired, yes, it's fantastic and if you're considering it and have the means, go for it. Have fun and party, guys.

UPDATE 31/1/2022 I give it 4 stars, read at the end why...

Firstly, I would like to mention that the 310 model replaced the 300, as well as the 110 replaced the 100. My initial choice was to get the smaller model (110) at 160W, which, although it is available abroad, has not yet arrived in Greece. So, I had to either choose the previous small model (100) or go for the newer larger one (310). I saw and heard them side by side in the store, and despite the high price (529€) compared to 279€ for the 100, I ultimately decided to get the larger model (310). The main reason was because the speaker has a battery and you can take it outdoors without electricity, but when it's not plugged in, its performance decreases (it switches from performance mode to battery mode) and goes from 160W to 100W for the small model (100), while for the large model (310) it drops from 240W to 160W. My purpose was to be able to take it to the beach, so the small one wouldn't cover me for something significantly more powerful in terms of sound. Of course, the 310 is considerably larger and heavier (17.5kg), but with a little care, it can be transported just fine. I initially tested it in a closed space at home (in performance mode, meaning plugged in), and even with the extra bass OFF (it has 3 levels, OFF, 1, 2), everything was vibrating. The volume was at 30-40% so as not to disturb the neighbors in the afternoon. The sound was electrifying and the bass was incredible. I was used to the Samsung/Harman Kardon soundbar from the Q series, which is top-notch (700€), and the difference is noticeable, with the JBL delivering a superior sound. Then I tried it outdoors, on the beach, which is a completely open space and the sound spreads everywhere. Unfortunately, without being plugged in, it performed at 160W, but it still left me amazed as it was very loud, and within a radius of a few meters, 8-10 people could hear the sound perfectly and loudly. On the beach, I had it at 100% volume and BASS 2, so the battery didn't last as long as the manufacturer claims, but it's too early to judge that. I read that you can trick the speaker and put it in performance mode even outside by using a power station (a power bank with a socket input). However, that would be an additional investment of €80-€130. The front lights synchronize perfectly with the music rhythm, and everything can be controlled through the very nice and well-designed mobile application. I haven't tried it for Karaoke yet, but if I do, I will update. Generally, €530 is a bit too much, but unfortunately, there is no competition at this price range for a battery-powered speaker with this sound quality. I see in the history that it has been close to €400. At that price, I would say, if you don't mind the size, go for it without hesitation. Finally, I would like to note that the build quality is not just premium, but super premium. All the materials are flawless and properly finished. The speaker is waterproof (IP4) and fully sealed, but I wouldn't risk sitting and listening to music in heavy rain, maybe in a light summer shower.

UPDATE 1: After some time of use, I continue to be fully impressed with the sound and overall quality, but portability is a small issue. It barely fits in the trunk of my car (sports coupe), so I have to place it in the back seat, taking up a human seat. There are days when I don't take it with me outside, while if I had the smaller 100 or 110, it would definitely be much more convenient and I would have it with me all the time on my outings. However, I still believe that I made a good choice since the 110 is not yet available in Greece. I have to say that the battery is definitely not what the manufacturer claims, it lasts about half the time. I've also heard this from other partybox owners that I randomly met. However, I bought a power station from a Chinese website (iMars PS-S70) and I basically have it plugged in and outside at the beach, and besides playing better in terms of quality/bass/volume (performance mode), it allows me to have it on for a much longer duration (running time). I still don't know the total running time, but I use it for hours and the power station doesn't feel it, it has never dropped below 50%. It was worth the €120 that I paid if you really want to use it all day at the beach.

UPDATE 2 (31/1/2022): After several months of use at home now (due to winter), there are many complaints from the neighbors, not about the volume but about the bass, which continues to vibrate everything even when it's turned off. I'll give you an example: we were in an Airbnb house and we were playing quite loudly with the bass boost off (turned off), and people from the opposite apartment building came to complain that it was vibrating. Unfortunately, there is no way to turn it off from the speaker itself, only through the application like Spotify, if it has an equalizer option. If you listen to a lot of YouTube like me, you are doomed to listen to it quietly because from a certain point onwards, you hear windows, glasses, and plates resonating. It's a shame that there is no option to lower the bass, it's a feature that would be discouraging for me to recommend it to someone. I have it and I don't use it often because I simply can't. For this reason, I'm lowering my rating to 4 stars.

UPDATE 3 (14/3/2022): After contacting JBL, they told me that there is no option to turn off the bass, only if the application, like Spotify, has its own equalizer. If they receive many such comments, they might consider adding it to their own application, but I still see it as unlikely. I guess it will be included in the next hardware update, like the 320.
