Description

Often what is referred to as an "introduction" is actually a "conclusion." And rightly so, because to write the introduction of a text, one must not only read it but also analyze and understand it deeply.

With the few words in which I introduce this book, I want to express how it serves as a starting point for thoughts and reflections on the issues of our time. And not only that. By itself, the title of the book, "From Bush to Obama," may be misleading if the prospective reader thinks it is a series of studies on the evolution of current American politics.

However, on one hand, the extensive text of the introduction signed by Sotiris Dalis and on the other hand, the reading of the table of contents show how much broader the subject matter being addressed is.

But I must emphasize that the reader should not overlook the second title of the book, which—though in smaller type is not merely a subtitle—opens to the reader another gateway that cannot be ignored. This subtitle is "International Politics in a Changing World."

And then you reflect on how much broader over time and space this phenomenon, which the text attempts to approach, even indirectly, truly is, thus motivating the reader to expand their contemplation.

This book indeed does not only concern the transition from Bush to Obama. It is a series of texts that each, in its own way, encourages thought and reflection.
