The only negative is that it does not contain much iron (only 15mg, while the needs during pregnancy are at least 27mg), resulting in some pregnant women needing additional iron supplementation. I had a decrease in hematocrit in the third trimester, something that did not happen in my first pregnancy, when I was taking another supplement with double the amount of iron.
