Erlikon Belinox electrodes are rutile, highly alloyed and have a very low carbon content. They are intended for welding stabilized or unstabilized 18 Cr/8 Ni-type chromium-nickel steels, which are resistant to atmospheric corrosion, as well as low-carbon chromium-nickel steels. They are resistant to intergranular corrosion at temperatures up to 350 °C.

Welding is smooth, with good arc starting and restriking, a fine ripple pattern and smooth joints. Slag is easy to remove.
