When initially installed it goes through a self test procedure which is a bit alarming (!!) but then it goes quiet with just the occasional unobtrusive quick flash of the indicator. Having a wood burner and gas stove in my living area, it seems to be a good investment.

    I don't know when and if it will be needed (hopefully it will never be needed, of course), if it will be reliable and recognize smoke or carbon monoxide leaks, what I know for sure is that upon purchasing it, I found that it has already passed 1/3 of its lifespan, which is (10 years with its standalone battery), and unfortunately, this is something that should be checked by the store as well as by Skroutz since the purchase was made through them! I think such characteristics and omissions should be particularly taken into account as they concern important parameters of the products!

    If you have a stove or fireplace inside the house, it is absolutely necessary. (I have a pellet stove)
