The GPeR unit allows the extension of the Ethernet cable with an additional hop (<100 - 150 m on regular network devices and up to 210 m on another GPeR unit) up to 1,500 m. Useful for apartment buildings, multi-story buildings, with many floors and sections, where very long Ethernet cables can be a problem.

The maximum allowable length of the CAT6 Ethernet cable between the GPeR and the power source/router is up to 100 meters (depending on cable quality, high quality - up to 150 meters). The maximum allowable distance of the CAT6 Ethernet cable between two GPeR devices is up to 210 m (depending on cable quality).
