The Ubiquiti Instant Indoor PoE converter converts Ubiquiti UniFi, UniFi Video or airMAX devices with 24 V passive PoE to be compatible with the 802.3af standard. It provides additional ±15 kV Ethernet isolation, which reduces the risk of damage to connected devices from electrostatic discharge or power surges. It supports Gigabit Ethernet for high-speed data transmission over a wired connection.

It can be used with auto-sensing 802.3af PoE switches for remote power control and rebooting of connected devices. More efficient power delivery allows the use of longer cables.
