For it to happen to both of them within a few minutes of each other means poor workmanship. Also, I was on a rough driveway tile at the time and they didn't slip, but as soon as I stepped onto a regular tile, I almost slipped immediately (fortunately, I didn't fall).
So yes, they're good for short periods and simple trips, but that's about it.
