Description

Enhance the sharpness of your photos with the authentic Nikon MC-DC2. This wired remote shutter release allows you to activate the shutter without touching the camera, eliminating vibrations. It is ideal for long exposure shots (Bulb), landscapes, and macro photography. Compatible with a wide range of models such as the D7500, D610, D750, Z6, and Z7 series, it offers Nikon's reliability and build quality.

Absolute Stability and Zero Vibrations

The Nikon MC-DC2 is an essential tool for every photographer seeking maximum sharpness. Allowing remote shutter control, it prevents the subtle camera shake caused by pressing the button manually. It is extremely useful in night photography, astrophotography, and situations where telephoto lenses are used, ensuring crystal-clear results without blur.

Lock Function for Long Exposure

The ergonomic design of the MC-DC2 includes a button lock mechanism, which is critical for shooting in Bulb mode. This allows you to keep the shutter open for an extended period without having to continuously press the button, making it easier to create impressive light trails or photograph the starry sky. The tactile response of the two-stage button allows focusing with a half press and shooting with a full press, just like the camera's button.

Reliable Connection and Top Compatibility

As a genuine Nikon accessory, the MC-DC2 offers perfect electronic communication with the camera body through the dedicated remote control port. The 1-meter long cable provides the ideal range for comfortable work next to the tripod. It is compatible with dozens of models (D90, D3000/D5000/D7000 series, D600, D750, D780, Z5, Z6, Z7, etc.), making it a professional investment that withstands time and demanding shooting conditions.

Purely mechanical construction. It works exactly like the camera button in two steps: if pressed halfway it focuses, and if pressed all the way it takes the photo or photos. Internally, it consists of 3 blades that, when pressed, first short-circuit the first with the second and then all three. Only three wires are used. The black is ground, the green is wake-up and focus, and the white is shutter release. I use it with two relays to control the camera with an Arduino that simultaneously rotates a platter.
