The TST-200 Cable Tester from Procab comes with all the standard inputs, such as XLR Male / Female (3-pin / 5-pin), 3.5 mm jack, 6.3 mm jack, DIN (3-pin / 5-pin), RCA, speaker (4 pins), RJ45, RJ11, BNC.
The device features separate "Transmitter" and "Receiver" units, which can snap together for easy transport or be separated for testing cables at both ends of a signal chain.
Simply connect one end of the audio cable to the "A" and "B" sides of the device, then select the mode you want to check the signal continuity on all active pins or conductors. The LED lights will illuminate indicating the signal continuity and the pins that are connected to each other. The TST-200's built-in speaker also sounds when a successful connection is made between the transmitter and receiver units.
Thanks to the split unit design, you can test both cables you have on hand, as well as longer cables that are already installed. This time-saving feature spares you the hassle of packing up your cables just for testing. The B unit includes a switch to select the speed at which the connections are tested, as well as the power switch.
This two-part cable tester is reliable and durable, whether you're on the road or in the studio.
Both units A and B are powered separately.
