    I had an HP500 plotter model from 2002 and suddenly, Windows 10 stopped recognizing it on the USB. The USB probably got damaged. I was thinking that the cost of transportation to Athens and the cost of repair, considering its age, was not worth the money. I tried using a cable to see if Windows 10 would recognize it through the parallel port. It was recognized and worked properly. In fact, since I don't have it near my computer, I use a 5-meter USB extension and then connect it to the plotter's parallel port with this cable. IT WORKS
