I replaced a classic brass grate (chrome on the outside) in which some slats would break every now and then since we occasionally stepped on it due to its position. Not to mention that the chrome coating on the square frame of the brass grate (which had been replaced twice in the past with other similar ones) had cracked. In any case, with this specific one from Viospiral, the problem was solved. I had a bit of difficulty installing it because I had to "enlarge" the drain hole a bit with a chisel, but the result is excellent. Beautiful matte appearance of the metal, perfect fit of the square frame using special silicone for adhesion, and flawless overall functionality. The slats do not break even if you step on them; perhaps the entire round grate bends slightly. I have not noticed any oxidation so far.
