Each pair of the mattress's cellular air chambers is separate and independent and inflates alternately with different pressure. The pressure in the chambers constantly changes, resulting in no part of the patient's body being pressed by the mattress for an extended period, thus preventing the conditions for skin irritation and subsequently the formation of pressure ulcers.

    The air pump has vibrations and combined with the slightly louder noise that the motor makes, it creates uncomfortable conditions for comfort. The solution is to place the air pump away from the bed. Personally, I placed it on a chair. After that, everything is perfect.
