A PC (Post Connection) cable connects a camera to a flash head or monolight, allowing the flash to fire at the moment you press the shutter button. Many cameras do not have a computer terminal for connecting this cable. In this case, an additional Hot Shoe adapter must be used to provide the necessary terminal.
