From an idea by Claude-Jean Philippe was born one of the most beautiful books about cinema. One hundred personalities from the field (critics, festival and cinema directors, journalists) voted for their favorite films.
Despite the differences in age, opinion, and sensitivity, convergence was ultimately achieved: in first place, unwavering, is 'Citizen Kane' by Orson Welles, followed by 'The Night of the Hunter' by Charles Laughton and 'The Rules of the Game' by Jean Renoir. The list includes 97 more films, all outstanding, unaffected by the passage of time.
Each film is presented on a double page, which includes a critical review, photographs, a summary, and credits.
