I have had it for over 5 years on the door of the back balcony. As a little door, the mechanism still works. Over these years, the plastic flap broke in the middle and I glued it and also put a film on top for safety. Also, the in-out indicator wore off over the years. Otherwise, the magnet is strong and only with very strong wind can it lift the flap. It doesn't have much air leakage but it is not completely insulated when closed. It makes noise when opening and closing and at first my kitty was afraid of it but he got used to it and passes through slowly so it doesn't bang too much. I bought a second one to have as a spare if needed. Overall, it has turned out sturdier than I expected.

I don't know why I didn't install it earlier. It's perfect.

If it's going to be installed on an aluminum door like mine, the only difficult part is finding a professional to do the job right. I was very lucky.

It broke after 4 months of use, I will have to buy it again because I damaged the door and no other commercial one fits, I give it one last chance

We got it for a large cat who generally is afraid of doors (e.g., litter box, etc.) and he learned very quickly to go through with the power of food!!

Good construction, installation is not easy and there is no template for cutting. The depth is adjustable. Also, there is an issue with the screws, you may need different ones. Easy to find.

The four locking options are very convenient, as is its size. However, a big problem for us is the inner ring that is supposed to prevent air from coming in (a little does get in, in winter it lets in cold air), since it does not lock together with the flap. Our cats, trying to get out when the door is locked, pull it and let it fall, resulting in a loud noise.

I am coming back four years after the purchase. The flap has not suffered any damage at all, even though it has been opened and closed constantly all these years. Of course, I would like it to be a bit quieter, but ok.
