These bulbs are an excellent combination of brightness and lifespan. In the H4 version, they have a light color of 3600K, Lumen output of 1650+/-15%, and a maximum lifespan of 540 hours, not "x" months or years. In summary: in a properly adjusted and clean parabolic reflector (classic headlights), they will satisfy even the most demanding users of halogen bulbs in their cars. Halogen bulbs do not perform as well in elliptical reflectors (projectors). The bulbs are legal and there is no risk of a glare fine (from 200-700 euros under the new Traffic Code) nor of being left without insurance coverage after an accident.
Measuring their light intensity with a photometer, you will find that they are much brighter than factory Long Life bulbs. In the H4 version, both the low and high beam filaments are inside the same glass and never light up together. On low beam, the lighting is excellent within the limits of what your headlight's reflector can deliver. Do not expect to see farther. The light beam is specific for each headlight. You will not see farther ahead, to the right, or to the left on low beam no matter what bulb you use. Only if you adjust your headlight higher will you see farther, but this can be done with any bulb. Simply, within this framework, everything is brighter. The color is wonderful (neither yellow nor white, about 3400K) with very good color rendering. With high beam, you will finally see farther than with a regular bulb. The bulbs perform excellently up to 90+ meters. The color is whiter this time, 3600K+. It will satisfy those who like whiter lights more. Subjectively, I consider the low beam excellent and the high beam very good, as I would like it to be a bit more "yellow" to have better color rendering. For even better lighting, Philips offers the Racing Vision GT200 with a maximum lifespan of 400 hours (always for H4), all other features being common and high beam performance at 100+ meters. Measuring with the photometer, the GT200 delivers more Lumens than the PRO 150, which makes sense.
For all those who consider these bulbs "candles" and want to stay within legal limits, you should look at the LED Ultinon Pro 6100 and Ultinon Pro 9100 series, but their purchase costs are 10 to 12 times higher if you include can bus & adapters. Their lifespan is 5.5 to 9.25 times longer respectively, and the high beam light beam approaches 200 meters. The car I use them in has common parabolic reflectors with H4 bulbs, and I cannot compare the lighting of halogen bulbs with that of factory xenon or factory LEDs. I only referred to Philips, but there are other brands as well. The choice is yours. The above are personal assessments.
