I bought wind deflectors for the front and rear set for a VW Polo '11 and a SKODA Rapid '17, and the following comment expresses my opinion after applying them to both vehicles.
The product fits well, I installed them myself in 15 minutes, but the installation is not stable due to two factors:
a) It has double-sided tape of poor quality and unfortunately it does not stick properly to the "nail" of the wind deflector, resulting in it not sticking as it should. I call it stinginess.
b) The clips do not "snap" onto the window, they just stay in place, resulting in them not holding tightly and not applying the pressure that the wind deflector should have in its position.
In conclusion,
The clips do more harm than good, and I mean that it is logical that they deformed the rubber but also the wind deflector, but it is unacceptable that when I was washing the car, water was leaking exactly where the clips are. They came off.
The combination of stinginess, both in quantity and in the quality of the adhesive, made it inadequate.
I removed them and reinstalled them, and honestly, I realized that the wind deflectors held on their own.
What adhesive? What clips? What without them?
The same goes for the other one.
I hope that with the above comment, I can help someone so that they don't worry about the installation, regarding how the adhesive will hold better or in which position the clips should be placed.
Edit 28/08/2023: I applied instant glue because one of the wind deflectors fell off the car when I hit a pothole while driving with the windows open. I applied it very carefully to the surface that the rubber touches, and now they seem stable!
28/08/2022 Αγόρασα ανεμοθραύστες μπρος πίσω σετ, για VW Polo '11 και για SKODA Rapid '17 και το παρακάτω σχόλιο εκφράζει την άποψη μου έπειτα από την εφαρμογή και στα δύο οχήματα.
Το προϊόν ταιριάζει καλά, τα τοποθέτησα μόνος μου σε 15', όμως η εγκατάσταση δεν είναι σταθερή κάτι που οφείλεται σε δύο παράγοντες:
α) Έχει ταινία διπλής όψεως, κακής ποιότητας και δυστυχώς δεν είναι πέρα ως πέρα στο "νύχι" του ανεμοθραύστη με αποτέλεσμα να μην κολλάει όπως πρέπει. Το λέω τσιγκουνιά.
β) Τα κλιπς δεν "κουμπωνουν" στο παράθυρο, απλά στέκονται με αποτέλεσμα να μην κρατάνε σφιχτά και με την πίεση που θα έπρεπε τον ανεμοθραύστη στην θέση του.
Εν κατακλείδι
Τα κλιπ, περισσότερο κακό κάνουν για το τίποτα και εννοώ ότι ναι μεν λογικό που παραμορφωσαν τα λάστιχα αλλά και τον ανεμοθραύστη, όμως απαράδεκτο όταν έπλενα το αμαξι εμπαζε νερό ακριβώς εκεί που είναι τα λαμακια. Ξηλώθηκαν.
Ο συνδυασμός της τσιγκουνιάς τόσο με την ποσότητα όσο και με την ποιότητα της κόλλας, κατάφερε να την κάνει ανεπαρκή.
Τα έβγαλα και τα επανατοποθέτησα ξανά και ειλικρινά κατάλαβα ότι οι ανεμοθραύστες κρατιοντουσαν μόνοι τους.
Τι κόλλα; Τι κλιπς; Τι χωρίς αυτά;
Το ίδιο και το αυτό.
Ελπίζω με το παραπάνω σχόλιο να βοηθήσω κάποιον ώστε να μην αγχώνεται με την εγκατάσταση, ως προς το πώς θα πιάσει η κόλα καλύτερα ή σε ποια θέση είναι καλύτερα να μπουν τα κλιπς.
edit 28/08/2023: Έβαλα κόλλα στιγμής διότι ο ένας ανεμοθραυστης έπεσε στον δρόμο όταν μπήκα σε λακούβα οδηγώντας το αυτοκίνητο με ανοιχτά παράθυρα. Την εφάρμοσα πάρα πολύ προσεκτικά στην επιφάνεια που γλύφουν τα λάστιχα και δείχνουν πλέον σταθεροί!
