Seachem substrates are suitable for aquariums with live plants, but they can also be used in any aquarium. They are more effective when used alone, but can be mixed with other substrates. These particular substrates do not affect pH.

It is recommended to rinse with plain water before use. There is a possibility that the substrate dust may cloud the aquarium, but this will only last for a few hours.
