The QUANTUM QE subwoofers impress with their very compact design. The QE622 subwoofer is almost sleek, but with its aluminum basket and dual magnet of 2 x 40 oz, it warns: "Caution, it can get very loud!"

The slightly larger subwoofers feature a powerful dual magnet of 2 x 63 oz and, like the QE622, have a hole in the core and a ventilated T plate for optimal cooling. The QE622 has a large 2” (50 mm) voice coil with an RMS power of 250 Watts, while the QE822 and QE1022 have 2.5” (64 mm) voice coils with powers of 400 and 600 Watts RMS, respectively.

Made with very long voice coils of 30 or 36 mm, they allow a linear excursion of +/- 10 mm. Both subwoofers have dual voice coils of 2 + 2 ohms, allowing for resistance configuration to 1 x 4 Ohm or 1 x 1 Ohm. Several subwoofers can operate in series on an amplifier without issues.
