Description

Description

Frame unique portraits. Capture distant action. With a maximum focal length of 250 mm, this 5x fast-focusing zoom lens offers a greater range than most. Ideal for travel, it performs exceptionally in every situation and captures photos and videos with unique clarity.

Whether it's photos or videos, this NIKKOR Z lens stands out every moment. The vibration reduction within the lens allows you to shoot at shutter speeds up to 5 stops slower than would otherwise be possible. You can capture clearer photos as dusk falls or shoot videos that don't show the effects of camera shake. The focus is fast and virtually silent.

I will also share my opinion, having had the lens in my possession for about a month. It is a lightweight lens with satisfactory zoom. It has good photo quality, but to achieve maximum sharpness you need to combine focal length with aperture, as someone mentioned in a previous review. It compacts enough so you can store it easily. One negative I found is the stiffness of the zoom. It’s not that smooth and can be difficult, for example, when you want to shoot a video. Also, something I noticed is that when the camera is off or in sleep mode, you can hear a metallic sound inside the camera, as if something is broken. In reality, it’s the lens VR deactivating. When the camera is turned back on, the sound stops. Overall, it is well worth its money and more. I bought it at a very good price (€249).

It is a good lens in terms of optical performance, especially considering its cost. It has stabilized VR (although skroutz incorrectly states that it does not have image stabilization). It provides an equivalent focal length of 75-375mm in FF, which is quite satisfactory even for basic wildlife use. Its advantage, of course, is its price. At 360 euros for the lens alone, and cheaper within a kit, it offers very high image quality (for the money).
If someone cannot afford the Tamron 150-500mm or even the Nikon 180-600mm, it is a fair solution for a telephoto lens. Especially for travel telephoto lens, as it is very lightweight.

The lens was included in the kit with the z50. For maximum sharpness, you need to test specific focal lengths in combination with aperture. It is fast. It is not suitable for macro.
