  • Amazing machine, of course in terms of espresso cutting, it doesn't cut it that fine. But for home use, it's fantastic.

Well, I have had this specific grinder for about a month now. In the first tests, I was completely disappointed and wanted to return it because even on the finest setting, the espresso came out more like sandy powder rather than finely ground coffee for a machine. I came across a hack for the KG79 grinder from Delonghi, which is similar to this one. And yes, with a tweak to the adjustment gear, it managed to produce espresso even as a powder. The advantage compared to the KG79 is that this grinder opens easily without having to remove buttons, side panels, etc. like the KG, just by loosening the four screws on the coffee container and we have direct access to its interior, which is identical to that of the corresponding Delonghi model. Anyone who opens it should know that the gear needs at least one complete rotation (it needs some trial and error, I had opened it 3-4 times until I found the settings I wanted). Basically, with this hack, we change the setting to cut as finely as we want without interfering with the internal grinding mechanism. For those who want to try it, before loosening it, turn the grinding button to the finest setting. After opening it, loosen the 4 small screws that hold the button and after lifting it from the large gear it rests on, turn it to the coarsest setting. Screw the pieces back together and try it. You will already have achieved a grinding setting of 17 notches per minute. If you want an even finer grind, repeat the process by giving a few more notches to the adjustment (but be careful not to overdo it and know that the above process is done solely at your own risk and will void the warranty). If you hear it revving abruptly during operation, immediately shut it off from the power button and use your finger to clear any coffee beans that may have gotten stuck because somewhere they are jammed and not descending for grinding. For now, the coexistence with it is going well, I just have to see its durability.

This is the first grinder with grinding adjustments that I have, so I can't compare it to others.
For the past 20 years, I have been using a grinder without adjustments.
I put the beans in the top container, adjust the number of espresso shots I want to grind from the front button, and adjust the size (coarse or fine) from the side button.
I press the ON button and in 10 seconds, I receive the ground coffee in the bottom container.
    The photos are here:
    https://postimg.cc/gallery/nJzvTxv
For espresso or French coffee, I have to choose the finest size (with the smallest balls) and the result is satisfactory, similar to pre-ground espresso or French coffee.
I think if it was a little finer, it would be better.
For Greek coffee, the grind needs to be very fine like flour, which this grinder cannot achieve.
Grinding coarse beans probably doesn't serve any type of coffee, I don't know where else it would be useful.
I don't know if it's worth the money because I haven't tried any other grinder and good grinders cost over 100€.
Grinding fine beans is about the same as the Grider I had, which cost 20€. This one, which is twice the price, should do something better, like being able to grind like flour for Greek coffee.
The minimum quantity that can be adjusted is 2 shots. If you want only one shot, then the top container should be empty and you should only put 2 teaspoons of beans, which will give you one shot of ground coffee.
The packaging also includes a small brush to clean the grinder.

Quite good and powerful mill (always considering its purchase cost at 45€) for home use. It requires a little patience until you learn how to use it and find exactly how you want your coffee to be ground. So far, having used espresso beans from 3 different brands, there has only been a problem once (in the first uses), regarding the grinding of the coffee and specifically the thickness of the cut, and since then it has been working flawlessly.

There are cases where it may operate without you hearing it grinding the coffee, which is not a cause for concern, as there are times when the beans may simply stay on the surface of the plastic and not fall into the grinding wheel. The simplest solution is to stop its operation and restart it after checking the beans in the container.

However, special attention is needed in cleaning the plastic containers, as there is a high possibility of coffee residues even with water cleaning. Therefore, before cleaning or washing it, it is good to also use the brush included in the package.

It is not suitable for grinding espresso. It is more suitable for grinding filter coffee. Now, it's not that you can't drink espresso with it, but if you want something better in terms of coffee, you will have to go for a more expensive grinder, necessarily.
